Christopher Nolan’s next project could release in 2017.

The mastermind behind Interstellar, Inception, and The Dark Knight Trilogy

According to various media outlets, Christopher Nolan’s next movie is slated to release in 2017. That gives him about a two year window after his last movie, Interstellar.

I’m interested to see what Nolan has up his sleeve for his next movie. Could we get a romantic comedy?(I’ll see myself out). Whatever Nolan does it will probably be mind-bending, he’s an extremely talented director who loves spectacle. Interstellar was all about spectacle and grandeur, it was a movie that was meant to be seen in theaters. I still have chills from that amazing mountains scene. Christopher Nolan could direct a movie about paint drying and it would be better than 95% of the crap that Hollywood churns out today.

Spectacle, beautiful spectacle.

Nolan is always extremely secretive about his movie production and marketing. He and Warner Brothers always make a concerted effort to reveal as little as possible about their movies, but they release just enough to peak interest from the audience. I was heavily interested in Interstellar up until release, most of that was because the production companies had only teased me about what was to come in the movie. They didn’t treat the trailers by revealing every single plot point in the story like many others unfortunately do today.

Nolan’s most recent movie, Interstellar,  was an above average movie, I gave it a 3/4. It was meant to be seen in theaters, all of the epic, glorious space scenes are beyond beautiful. Interstellar had the best special effects I have ever seen, however the same cannot be said for the plot. I thought the screenplay was all over the place and some of the dialogue fell victim to the “made for the trailer” syndrome. Despite Interstellar’s myriad of problems, it was still heavily enjoyable and I can’t wait to see what Christopher Nolan has in store next.
